About Us

West Mary Church2Our History

The Roland James Allen Evangelical Association, doing business as New Covenant Church was officially established on February 27, 1970, in the State of Texas. This corporation is a non-profit, non-denomination organization.

The Founder of the New Covenant Church was the late Bishop Roland James Allen. The leadership of our ministry was passed to its 1st Successor, Bishop John H. Sorrells Sr. upon the passing of our founder.

This ministry of approximately two hundred members is currently under the administration of Bishop and Pastor Eddie E. Willis, Sr. who also administers two established New Covenant Churches in Punta Gorda, Belize in Central America.

Located approximately 18 miles east of Austin, Texas in the county of Bastrop, the New Covenant Church was established to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ and ordain ministers to preach the Gospel at times and places as the Holy Spirit dictates.

The New Covenant Church was founded on the principles of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ as our Savior. Our evangelical ministry’s sole purpose is to fulfill the Great Commandment (St. Mark 16:15). To achieve our goal, the Lord has blessed us with a diverse ministry. Our Pastor leads several ministries that are designed to help spread God’s Love and Salvation to the lost; as well as giving comfort to the down-trodden and bewildered. There is hope in believing and excepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.
